Day 4: Library and Hike in Waldsassen

Today I woke up at five thirty!! They have to do so many things to get to school. Kristin, Tanja, Sierra and I walked down the street to get to the bus that takes us to the train. I was very excited because I have never rode on a train before I came to Germany. I thought it would be like Harry Potter!  After the train we have to walk more to get to the school!

Soon after we got to the school we boarded the bus and went to see the amazing church (Waldsassen Abbey). The library had the most intricate carvings and paintings. We had to wear slippers so the floor didn't get ruined.

Maria-Theresa and Sierra take pictures of the intricate carvings in the library.  Notice their slippers!

The ceiling of the library.

Afterwards we went to the middle of no where for a hike. The hike was so beautiful. Comparable to McConnells Mills.

Mrs. Dill bought delicious chocolate croissants as a snack for the students before the hike.

After we walked for a long long time there was a spring in a rock. The water from the spring was so full of minerals and tasted very different.

"Sour Well"

Britni was brave and tried the water.  She says it tastes very strongly of iron.

Mrs. Dill tells a legend about a certain collection of rocks in the stream

A little farther and we got a restaurant in the middle of the forest where I had Weisswurst and Sierra had a salad but didn't eat very much of it...at all.

Britni enjoys her German Currywurst, fries, and Mezzo Mix drink.

After lunch we hiked for an eternity and Sierra and Jake picked a bouquet of flowers and gave it to Mr. Trofimuk.  It went well with his complexion.

Then we rode the bus home and took a nap. Later that night we all met up at a cafe and hung out. At the end of the night we went back to Tanja's house to sleep. All in all I would call this day a Win. Habadere (goodbye) - Tori Lark
